Not in Australia. Not required by CASA it is a uniquely JAA requirement.

While Western Australian Aviation College does JAA Courses the MCC component is completed in the UK.

are you sure FTA offer MCC. I am quite sure the only offer ATT (Airline Transition Training) etc for cadets.

Dredge up a 6 year old thread, things have probably changed. I assume that with the new part 61 rules coming in that MCC providers will become all the rage as a money spinner.

I don't think people should get too excited about rushing into MCC courses just yet. I would suggest the Part 142 organisation delivering a type rating course could/should/would incorporate the MCC in the type rating.

MCC will be a requirement when CASR61 becomes effective.

If you need to fly a multi-crew aeroplane, I'm sure your employer will be able to provide the course.

Completion of a stand alone MCC will only be required if operating an aircraft type which can be flown single pilot as a multi crew operation (CASR 61.785). If the type requires multi crew, the multi crew training is incorporated in the type rating course.

Multi crew cooperation training under the new (Sept 1) regulations is now available from MATS ([email protected]). MATS were approved to run MCC courses yesterday (30 June 2015). The courses will be run at the Boeing facility in BNE, 3 days ground school and 7 x 4 hour sim sessions in the Boeing 737-800 fully approved machine. Course cost is $8750 inc GST.

It appears the price is coming down from what I have heard and MCC Courses will all be in the 6K-6.5K range. Not so for a Type rating and the ATPL Flight Test on a multi-crew airplane. CASA also forgot to mention that to conduct an MCC Course there must be two crew members - not "a candidate" - same with the ATPL. So anyone requiring MCC or ATPL must have a crew buddy.
