Hi all, what do you think of the term Self loading Freight?

I think it demeans the passengers who pay all the wages and costs of commercial aviation, heaven forbid we name the rear crew trolley dollies, sales and safety (SS) or any other demeaning tag. Rightfully so.

I think we should campaign for respect from this forum and abolish the term SLF.
Speak up!

I think there are more important things going on in the world, than to worry about that. ITS A JOKE FOR :oh: sake. Why can't people just have a laugh!:ugh:

I think the term is 100% correct, implies no disrespect one way or the other, and there must be more important things to worry about at the moment! Respect has to be earned and a lot of the SLF I fly with aren't anywhere near achieving that!

The origins of PPRuNe are that it should be a forum for Flight Crew, and the term SLF originates from that side of the flight deck door. PPRuNe remains essentially a Flight Crew forum that has expanded to include other areas - a good thing for everybody IMHO.

There is no intent to demean and I don't believe that a majority of users of this forum find the term offensive.

Your opinion is yours, and you are entitled to it: With the best will in the world, use of this forum is entirely voluntary, and you always have the option of simply not visiting us in here if you are anxious to avoid being further offended.
