Not too sure about 320 people but 767 YES
they are really very short despite having taken 6 guys from various Airbus sections in the last 4 months

movement to say 330 or 340 would be on seniority so you'd have to give that a miss

if you keep your nose out of the politics its really very enjoyable

but if you are interested write
to
Capt Hameed Ali
Fleet Capt A-320
P.O.Box 138
Bahrain

you never know

Pay well you'll take home more than you do in UK
Roster mayhem on 320 you only stop around the Gulf

Leave 52 days a year broken into two 26 days

housing like anywhere you get what you want to pay for or else GF housing which can be good or absolute junk its like a lottery

schooling very good but expensive but a good place to bring up kids well till at least their 12 or 13 year

Speedbrake Lever, is there a chance to get into a right seat of A320 or B767 for someone like me with 3000+ TT, 2000+ on turboprops >5700 kg, currently flying in command on Metro III with no previous jet experience?
And if yes, who shall I contact.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Look !!

I'll enquire for you but I doubt it very much they only take rated people but times they are a changing

Like it was policy not to run a full course (Conversion) but they have just done one for 76 people that is Airbus guys already in got a full course

Maybe if you had the type technical passed it might be a help

but to be honest not really convinced

Capt. A 320 might know better than me but another 767 is coming back shortly so they have to get people

You have [plenty of time thats not a problem its the rating as I see it

you aren't working in the region are you ??

your licence ain't a problem either unless it was issued on Mars

i'll have a word but I think its the rating that will count i'll get back to you here give me a few days ok

Speedbrake Lever,
Thank you for going into trouble of trying to answer my questions.
I've got an Australian ATPL and not working in the region, but certainly trying to get there and I am prepared to get A320 rating at my own expense.

Regards, Lookavi.

As far as I know guys GF does not:

a) Take non rated guys
b) Take non type experienced guys (min 500hrs)
c) Direct entries on A330/A340

Sorry for the bad news but thats how it is.
Good luck to all

Well

There you go guys Capt A320 knows better than me

BUT things change here sometimes quickly and sometimes very slowly

Latest Rumour is that 2 A320's will disappear where I don't know and a 76 will come

If you believe all you read in the press we are supposed to get 12 A330's

when ??????????

yes normally only direct entry Capts on 320 or 767 cos the 330 /340 is seen as advancement from within

but if times get tight they just might i don't think now at this moment but

Look !!! i'll still ask re with the type technical passed if you'd like no harm in asking is there!

More will be told if anything of interest comes up

but without actually asking I'm nearly sure that any 76 Capt's will be given a go, possibly even F/o's

Gentlemen,

As far as I could see on GulfAir website, they are looking only for A320 drivers, not 767.
Any idea?

but i know some who do

in Doha and Abu Dhabi
i'll try find something out for you
I'm away for a week as of now
but mail me
with your stuff so as I can ask relevant questions

I don't know what Flight the Wall street Journal or anything else says

but its without doubt 767 people we need

yeah maybe 320 as well but the 76 is badly short here and there is people leaving as i write this not many but the usual trickle

The ad will be placed I have no doubt so maybe for it
or jump the queue

Hi there Fatter Bloke

Well with your question I gotta admire your
Username

OK GF will take Females qualified

why have they not before ???

Because no female has applied simple as that

I was through this even 10 years ago and the reply was the same no females have applied

It'll certainly be different
for any who would think of it it'll be ODD for a bit but like everything in this life of ours you'll get around it

get around what I hear you say ??

Well it'd be a first and no matter where you are on the Planet a first is a First

76 and/or 75 with 500 hrs you'll be in the pack
send me a message if you want more info

I'm not in the Hiring Capacity but I know all those who are !

Good Luck if you pursue
