Hello All,
still have sabenaboy's question from last February in mind,
but this one beats me:
METAR UUWW 231830Z VRB02MPS 0250 R24/0700D FG VV001 02/02 Q0996,
as opposed to:
METAR UUWW 231900Z VRB01MPS 0150 R24/0450N FG VV001 02/02 Q0996.
On the risk of thoroughly embarrassing myself -
I am unable to find an explanation for the meaning
of these two letters...any takers, please?
Cheers

Just a guess, D-Decreased N-No change since last METAR?

That's the one. If there is a change in the 10 minutes prior to the METAR such that the mean reading in the first 5 minutes differs from the mean of the second 5 minutes by 100m or more, then:

U = Upward
N = No distinct change
D = Downward

So I was bored and had an Aerad Supplement handy :8
