I heard a rumour from a reliable source that Falcon have dropped 737 order in favour of 3 AN12's. I'm contemplating doing a 1900 rating, but would it be a better plan to try and do an AN12 endorsement? Any advice on where it is possible to do this rating (outside of Russia!)?

Are you nuts? Can you even get one?, and if yes, why would you want to? If any company flys AN-12's, who do you think they're going to get to fly them? The guys who have the experience flying them in Siberia, Angola, etc.

If you want to spend money, go for the 1900.

Colt Steel, up with play as usual. I think a few of the boys already have a stake in the Russian economy!

Hey Skip - where did you get to the other night? Your beer is still on the bar.

As for the AN 12s I heard it is a reliable rumour and that Boris and Ivan is crewing them.

I say go for the AN12, I have some contacts in RUSSA if you want some leads to a type rating.I hear Falcon are getting the H.U.D models with the new glass cockpit so will be a great link to EK.
Go for it I say.

Whats the latest on Falcon?
Does the AN12 mean they might be phasing the B1900s out? Or have they simply got more work?
Is Sanchez still running things out there? They hiring?

I think the title should be "Falcon DOES Russians".

Don't worry boys they've still got 1900's and they will for quit a long time.

SSBJ, it sounds like you've got some knowledge of Russian light "heavy metal". I heard that there is a better and more capable version of AN12 out there. Greatelly appreciate if you could tell how it is different to a conventional type or perhaps where I could get some info.
