..just arrived in sunny YMAY, and was wondering who else might be here.

If anyone wants to make contact, PM me or just come by the Angel Wings/Fly Away To Heaven stand (see www.flyawaytoheaven.com.au (http://www.flyawaytoheaven.com.au)) opposite hangar 7/fuel bowser, I'm here with VH-MHV.

Krusty I was looking at the Rex pilots and wondering if you were one of 'em.

Plank I called in to your stand twice but you weren't there. Sorry to have missed you. I did have a bit of a chat with the others there though. Do you own MHV?

As for the show itself, I was pretty happy to be treated to a nice variety of old and new aircraft putting on some impressive displays. Got myself reddened by the autumn sun, chatted to a few mates and had a good day. For me the best looking aircraft was the Albatross, but the best displays were the Hazair boys in their Airtrucks and the Bird dog.

I dropped in and you weren't there either. I must be blind and didn't see MHV either, must be blind!

I did like a few bits and pieces there and thought the Vampire was probably better than the Albatros for me.

New E-Jet dropped in too.

Was a great display.
Did anyone else see the V8 race car take out the runway edge light?
Enjoyed Pip Borrmans display and of course the RAAF Roulettes. Don't know what happened to the F/A18 Hornet though?

Top day out although could have used a lot more of the old SPF 30+:\

xxx,

MHV was there, here is a severely cropped version of your photo showing MHV behind everything else. Look under the wing of the white lighty at the dark coloured PA-28...

DH200, I did see that tosser in his Fails On Race Day take out the taxi way light and spray shredded rubber and gravel all over the place.

Kept the poor old marshals busy removing the FOD risk after he vacated the taxi way.

The Hornet was MIA :{ however I did enjoy the Vampire as well.

I was listening to the tower on my portable radio and the only other incidents I noticed were a couple of times when aircraft nearly went nose to nose on the taxi ways and also (much to my disappointment) the old Lockheed 12 had to reject his take off and decided to cancel his display, although I haven't heard why.

Mate I agree, was looking forward watching the old bird soar.
Just thankful no one flew into one of the many balloons that were making an appearance at the air show.

Was there much on at the smartair hanger? I didn't get a chance to pop in.

Yep, the peeps at Air Centre... oops, I mean Smartair had the whole show rolled out today, the aircraft out on static display, the marquee put up with heaps of stuff available and plenty of staff to try and convince you that they are the best around...:E

It looked pretty good actually and the aircraft have got the new name and logos on now, they're looking pretty good too.

Sorry I missed you guys, I was off the stand more than I thought I'd be.. will throw a round at the next show to make up for it ;)

Great show, superb weather, awsome display by the Roulettes and many others.. all the YAKs on display made me wanna get one :E

My partner and I happened to sit next to the race car driver and his wife at the dinner dance last night, lovely people we thought. The guy seems to have little respect for aerodrome infrastructure though :=

And no, I don't own MHV, although I am in the market for a Cherokee 180 or Archer..

If all goes well, I'll be joining the nice people behind www.flyawaytoheaven.org.au (http://www.flyawaytoheaven.org.au) on a fundraising flying tour around Australia in May! Am really looking forward to seeing more of this great country, and of the chance to meet lots of ppruners in the process!!

Due to camera/operator issues this was the only shot I got today that is worth posting.:{

Yup, "dropped into" the airshow today with Hank, A/W's Deputy Mayor (what a good scout he was!)

Logistics of getting there and home again didn't give me much time to look around today, but the Airvan was parked right beside the Lockheed, and we paused on the was out to the flightline to pay homage to that beautiful gleaming piece of history.

What a good turnout for a regional airshow. Aviation is alive and well in A/W and by all accounts they put on a great show today.
