Malicious, libelous, defamatory and mischievous threads and posts.
A number of recent threads and posts have suggested various airlines, air charter operators and flying schools:
have had aircraft or other assets repossessed;
have had an administrator appointed, either voluntarily or by the Court
are negotiating arrangements for external management
are experiencing financial difficulties; or
are insolvent.”Unsubstantiated threads of this nature, which may cause embarrassment, commercial harm or financial stress to the companies or individuals involved, may result in litigation for damages against the owners and publishers of PPRuNe and the user(s) concerned.
Similar allegations approximately a year ago, resulted in the threat of legal action against PPRuNe, legal action for defamation and damages against a registered PPRuNe user and a public apology on this forum. In that instance a Court ordered the user’s internet provider to provide the user’s name and address.
Future allegations against individuals or commercial entities, which can not be substantiated and verified by previously published reliable media reports or reference to the ASIC companies database (http://www.asic.gov.au/asic/asic.nsf), will result in the thread and user’s access being removed.
