EY Logbook Requirement

EY has the stamped logbook requirement. For US/FAA pilots in EY, what is acceptable and who should stamp it? etc.

Your CP should be able to do it. Yeah I know, I had never heard of the practice either until I heard a couple of our pilots had done it.

Slightly off topic,

You will find they just love company stamps in this part of the world. Every official document gets stamped at least once and on a good day 3 or 4 times. Keeps a huge number of clerks who aren't qualified to do anything else in work.

As a follow up question to that, does the logbook need to be stamped by previous employers as well ??

All my previous employers have no record of my flight time, how would one get the said hours "certified"?

Just get your mom to do it, should be good enough for EY :ok:

The logbook only needs to be stamped by your present employer- the theory being that your present employer would have checked with your previous employer when they hired you so they know all your hours are correct.

Aloha guys, I'm curious as to the logbook stamp question as well. My current/previous employer just shut the doors on us (Aloha Airlines) What can I do with this situation if I'm able to work into an interview somehow?

I'm heading to DTW for the info meeting this week. Hoping some good will come of it. Does a US pilot with 6,500 hours total with 3,500 of it in a B 737-700 (all FO time though) flying ETOPS stand a chance at an interview?

Since I'm on a roll, anyone tell me about the medical exam they put you through? Do they hammer you on cholesterol and other blood work type stuff? Is there a place to find out what they test for etc?

Log onto the Hawaiian (State) Corporation Commission website, and find the Aloha Airlines corporate seal.
Make a photo-copy and take to Kinkos and have a rubber stamp fabricated.

Emirates Airline is bringing its ambitious growth plans to the U.S. The airline’s Career Centre tells FLTops.com it will be recruiting pilots in three major cities next week: Detroit on April 7, Cincinnati on April 8 and Atlanta on April 9.
With a strong record of profitable growth, Emirates Airline is rapidly expanding its fleet of Airbus A330/A340 and Boeing 777 aircraft. Emirates has ordered 58 Airbus A380s, 53 Boeing 777s and 120 Airbus A350s. The airline says it is recruiting experienced and technically proficient first officers to fly its extensive international route network and progress their careers to captain.
The road shows will provide additional information to prospective candidates on pilot careers with Emirates and information about living in Dubai. The show is a three-hour presentation with time for questions at the end. The shows are as follows:

April 7, Detroit: The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport, 2501 Worldgateway Place Detroit, MI; 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

I like the make your own stamp idea...that's a good one! Funniest thing I've seen so far was the fact that Aloha Coffee mugs are going for $66 on ebay. Looks like the value in my kitchen cabinet just doubled my unemployment check ;0)

Oh no...still this stupid "stamp your logbook" nonsense. Don't worry about that, or just follow 411A's advice. Hasn't it ever occurred to them that if somebody forges a logbook, they can probably also forge some kind of stamp? :ugh:

Here's the most important part of passing the EY selection (besides showing up with a license and a heartbeat) which is to remember to bring passport photos with a BLUE background! BLUE, not white, not yellow, not brown, not red, but BLUE!!!

That seems to be really important somehow, so can everybody please pay attention to this? Remember, BLUE!;)

According to the EY paperwork ..

"Logbooks, up-to-date and certified by your employer (stick hours on powered fix wing aircraft only. Otherwise EY will accept only 70% of the total hours)"

I wouldn't recommend forging the certification as this is called fraud and should you be found out will most likely result in dismissal.
