DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CHANCES OF GAINING EMPLOYMENT IN THE MIDDLE EAST AT PRESENT?
I HAVE 2600 TT, 1700 MULTI, AND 100 TURBINE (PT-6), CURRENTLY WORKING NEAR PNG.

The 2 best options are Falcon Express, based in Dubai, and DHL, based in Bahrain.
Your experience is quite adequate for either but you have to be endorsed on the Beech 1900 for Falcon and the Metro for DHL.

DO YOU NEED A SPECIAL LICENCE TO WORK OVER THERE, OR CAN I USE MY AUSTRALIAN LICENCE?

Your Aussie licence will be fine. If you get a job with either Falcon or DHL, on arriving in the country you will do the UAE or Bahrain CPL law exam.
