If so, would you mind commenting WRT the professional GA situation in Israel? Seriously considering making aliya down the road, and would be especially interested in flying with a Mishtara air unit if possible.

I swear just before I clicked I wondered if Middle East forum included Israel! I don't think you'll get anywhere in the police or other goverment and probably even private air forces unless you've done the Army, and probably flown in the army.

By "Army", I presume you mean the IDF? I'm ex US Army --- former Long Range Surveillance Unit (LRSU) patrol team member, not aviator --- and a reserve deputy for a rural Sheriff's Office here in the US.

FAA certificates and FAA Class 1 medical with corrective lens restriction. Can still max a military PT test, BTW.
