The Garmin-webpage ask me for an "unlock-code" - sorry I´m unable to find this code - I kindly aks for your support - 2 mails to GARMIN still not answered until now!

You need to be on the Garmin US site for aviation map updates (http://www8.garmin.com/unlock/update.jsp). Unlock codes have to be bought, so you can use the map update you have downloaded. A link about Unlock codes here (https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/marketing/unlock.htm). You can get software updates (http://www8.garmin.com/support/download.jsp) too. I think they are free.

Hallo,
thanks, I have done as adviced - it worked - BUT - I´m now missing some local airfields in Hungary for example, where I flew some times.

I´m also surprised because of after I spoke with some other pilots all of them paid - not me!?! There was no page where they asked me to pay!
I hope not to have a surprise in tha air and the GARMIN will switch off after some hours!?!

Best regards
Eddi

I cant help you with that but I can guess. The airfields may not be on the Garmin database, or you have downloaded a database that doesnt include all of Hungary.

As far as payment goes the first update is sometimes free. I paid USD 35 for my second one.

You may not realise it but you posted your query in an Australia and NZ forum. Welcome to downunder!

You are meant to do a backup of the database so you don't lose your user saved airfields / waypoints. My 296 loses them on every update, however my mate's one doesn't.
