I've had a look and this does not appear to have been mentioned, perhaps it's because at the timing of writing the UK is still asleep!

Basically the Commons Defence Select Committee has reccomended that they cancel the order for MRA4. No idea what they will use instead, or how long it will take to enter service, just "cut our losses".

First thought on the matter was "do they think you can go into a showroom and order a new jet like you order a new car?"
