Hi guys,

I was recently offered a place on the LFB grad scheme for BA. I'm eager to find out more about what kind of things i'll be doing when I start...

Is anybody here on the scheme currently or have friends who are? How are they finding it? What kind of stuff are they up to?

Thanks for any info!

hi, shame there were no replies to this. Just wondering did you take the job offer in the end? If so how have you found it? Do you know if they will be running the scheme next year?

I turned down a placement year with them in order to take a job with Siemens in Germany...was so torn, really hope they wouldnt hold it against me if i were go go for the grad job.

Clouds03, Cloudey? Both going for a BA LFB scheme. Coincidence?
I think in truth because this is a pilot's forum. Nobody here has a clue about it.

Read into this what you will.
A friend of mine who works in the B.A. marketing department and has done for some time is having to re-apply for his job... along with over 200 people. As a business graduate looking at graduate schemes, I would be careful when dealing in a shrinking industry.

I'm sure you are being careful with your future and I acknowledge there aren't many industries or sectors that aren't shrinking at present, and it's fantastic to get into a grad job especially at a time when there aren't many companies offering grad scheme jobs... However is it not more prudent to aim towards a more reliable sector?

If you are to invest money into stock during falling economies, it's always wiser to invest money on necessity industries rather than luxury industries. . should your decision making not mirror this process?
