Hey guys,
That's what I was wondering, as a fall back if military service does not work for me. I know companies like BAe Systems and Lockheed Martin have test pilots for their aircraft, I was just wondering if they advertise for this job and what criteria must people meet for it?
Any comments are appreciated :)

Yep its quite easy to get a job as a test pilot for BAe etc.
All you have to do is become a military pilot - gain a few years operational experience.
If you are switched on, above average and quite intelligent you may be offered an ETPS interview - simply pass that, then the ETPS course (generally degree level Aerodynalmics + Advanced Physics and Maths) and you can be a test pilot in the military.
When your time is up - just leave the military and BAe or an equivalent organisation will probably snap you up!
Good Luck!:}

Well they tried using the PG-Tip's chimp's but they weren't to good at filling in the post-flight reports and were released from their obligations. :}
