F100 air stairs

Out of curiosity, are the F100's fitted with air stairs? I am referring to the ones that are fitted as part of the door (like say on a King Air/Gulfstream) or are ground crew required to bring stairs to the aircraft in order for passengers to disembark?

On airliners.net I have seen a few with and without. Is it an optional extra or my eyes playing up?

they can be either in or out .. depends on the whether you really need the extra 120 or so kg's somewhere else ..

Some have them as part of the L1 door (ie the door hinges at floor level and the steps are built into the door).
Alliance's FWI and FWH had a retractable set stowed in a cupboard aft of the L1 door, which slid out on rails and were extended to the ground by push of a button - (They were quite narrow - and folded in two, unfolding as they extended). They had taken them out not long before I left (they were heavy and the company was trying to reduce weight on the nlk run). Not sure if they are back in? The cupboard they stowed them in was a great hidey-hole to have a nap during your break (with a few pillows and blankets).
The ex US airways F100s they initially got did not have them at all.

The fold down door (first one mentioned) can still attach to an aerobridge - but the door has to be opened before the bridge can approach. Im told theres some sort of attachment thats required to cover the top step at a bridge.

Two types- fold down door with integral steps, and rails can be folded down and a platform folded across the the top steps for use on an airbridge and the "Airbus" style door that opens out and forward and requires an airbridge or external steps. As far as I know FWI and FWH were unique in having the fold out stairs (ex Cote D'Ivoire?).

Also two types of cargo doors (open up and open down).

And some have rear galley service door too, with angled escape slide to avoid the left intake.
