I just saw a program on foxtel that was about north America, and it featured a twin otter on skis. Are there many aircraft like this over there and is it hard to get the job driving them?.
I think my skills as an Australian bush pilot (except we lack the snow bit) would be prety handy over there and working in the arctic looks to be a demanding but enjoyable experiance...any tips on how to get a bit of work over there (even a few months would be good) would be great....just for the experiance. :)

From that show that you saw, did you get a company by any chance?

Any operator that I know of that flies Twotters on skiis are all up in Northern Canada. Usually it's the guys that have the previous ski experience on smaller machines that are the Capt. on the ski Twotters. Aside from that, I imagine you'll have to have the appropriate licences and paper work to work in Canada. Presuming that isn't an issue, then I could pass on some company names for you.

Send me a PM and we can take it from there.
