With several new corporate aircraft capable of flying for in excess of 12 hour sectors, how do you ensure that you are sharp and alert for the critical approach and landing phase at the end of the mission?
Typically on our operation this will be in the early morning after an over night flight. Circadian rhythm totally trashed, but that is not an excuse for other than a professionally completed sector.

We do "flight-naping" my friend as most of us in this industry...
What else ? the crew- rest area is optional on ULH business aircraft....:{

Although the aircraft I fly will not fly those lengths, we often do days like that in multiple sectors and one of the things I find helps me is lot's of healthy snack to keep the energy levels up. Also 20 minute power naps and lots of water. Even with all that I still feel aweful and fall into bed at the end of it.
