I'm hoping that some of you might be able to answer this question for me. I recieved an email to interview on the 18th of april, but I have recurrent ground school during that time frame with a p.c check the next week. Not much I could do about it so I sent an email back asking if I could reschedule my interview for a later date and explained why. The next day I got an email stating that all interviews for the 21-25 of april had been cancelled. My question is this will they reschedule my interview or is that it thanks for playing??

i just wanted to hijack this thread for several questions i have....

i have been offered a first officer final interview relatively soon and wanted to have some questions answered before i say yes/no to a trip to hkg. i'm sorry if the have been answered elsewhere.

as a defo... are you pax or freighter? can you get a guarantee?

am i correct in that the new pay scales are unified? ie. doesn't matter if pax or freighter.

as a defo what year do you enter on? jfo1, fo1 or sfo1?

how much does flt pay contribute to salary? 70%basic/30%fltpay? 80/20?

does an airbus rating push you towards 340/300 and the pax fleet?

does the defo final interview differ from deso? tech exam / medical / sim / general interview? anything else?

what does uk based newbie fo take home after full months flying with usual tax/pension deductions? between £3200 and £3700?

any suggestions/wisdom would be greatly received! thanks in advance

galvin

I guess it didn't hurt things because they sent me an email this morning with an interview offer in may. Now it's really time to start cramming.

reason they cancelled was probably because you were the only person to be interviewed!
Everyone else was collecting unemployment benifits which is only slightly less than the package you will be offered!
Good luck
