Good evening,
Can anyopne tell me what the vision requirements are for a Commercial Pilot Licence in the U.S. I'm from Australia and my eyesight just doesn't make it due to a new rule brought in by CASA in Aus. Thus, I may have to look at flying in the US.
Regards and thanks,

Try this web site, and look under FAR (Federal Aviation Regulations) 67.203. Click on the Part 67 to get there. It is too complex to provide here.

If this does not work, start at www.landings.com (http://www.landings.com) and click on regulations (FARs).
Good luck,

Paul,
Basicly the vision requirements are that your vision must be corrected to at least 20/20. It used to be that if your vision was worst than 20/100 you had to get a waiver. I understand that this is not required any more.

If I remember correctly, Check 6 should know quite a bit about Vision requirements. He listed the best references available.
You might also want to check on some new methods available for vision correction. I have heard wonders about some of the latest such as Lasix?? Surgery. A simple in and out process. Question would be are they acceptable to your countries Flight Surgeon.
Good Luck..
