G'day

I am an apprentice attending Swan TAFE in Perth Western Australia. Late last year we where told as a group that we would be undertaking EASA training , we are the 'guinea pigs' as the year before us is still doing the old CASA scheme.

Unfortunately over the last two lots of block release we haven’t had any training materials and some days a lack of lecturers. The TAFE is meant to be sourcing its materials from Aviation Australia but TAFE has been dragging there feet.

Today we turned up and there was a distinct lack of teachers and they where teaching the old CASA BA exam from QANTAS notes. The TAFE indicated that they would be ready to go on EASA B1 training by the end of year and to hang in there. Obviously none of us are happy and want to write a group letter

All I want to know is which group to complain to...... CASA, some sort of apprenticeship group or the education department???????

Complain to your local Federal member.

You are right. This is not good enough.Get him to take it up with CASA via Parliament question time.

It sounds like someone needs a rocket.................
