Hi there guys and girls

I am a UK pilot looking for recommendations for airfields around the Dijon/Burgundy area of France.

Its for a holiday, so idealy, somewhere:
near a beautiful/picturesque town/village
near some beautiful vineyards
with lovely accomodation
with car hire nearbyAs you can see, I don't ask for much...

I'm native from this region, however you can't find an airport in the middle of vignobles or very pitoresque villages.

The ones I may recommend you are,

Beaune, airport quite close from a well known town for its wines

Darois (north dijon) is a good place to leave your aircraft few days and then go to dijon and may be the road of wines.

if it helps...

One of my favourite fields for Burgundy is SEMUR EN AUXOIS.
The airport is within walking distance of the picturesque walled town which has good hotels and restaurents.
Beaune and lots of other Burgundy airfields are all within easy reach.
I wrote an article for a flying magazine about it. If you send me an email: [email protected] I will send you the article.

Hi there...

If the purpose of this tour is La route des vins....did you think about a city little bit more to the south called Macon airport code LFLM...it could be a good start and from there renting a car to get on the highway A6 to Chalon sur saone and finally to Dijon!!!

Enjoy you trip and happy landings
