With respect to the piece of string's length there IS an answer .

It is EXACTLY twice as long as HALF of it's length .

get rich and sit in the back of a biz jet or at the front of a big plane (not the driving seat) or buy yourself an ex mil jet fighter and use it as and when you please. on the other hand if you are just a mere mortal and actually have a love for flying the machine, then join the mil. failing that if you still like to fly something then i would recommend biz jets i worked for a very large company and you flew every other sector empty and was great for hands on flying and also into some real variety. i also used to fly! for a large uk airline and hated it. its not flying its just a way to earn some money for the fun things in life.:{

Captain Planet, collision is a consequence of motion and the airspace and aircraft type have little relevance to this fact! In fact flying VFR, Low Level and outside controlled airspace is peaceful bliss most of the time and completely the opposite when you go Class C as far as I'm concerned.
Flying floats anywhere in Europe for a decent salary is close to perfection and then Water Bombing during the summer would probably top that! But I'm sure there's some decent biz jet operators here too that give the same levels of satisfaction. The airlines I would be far from exhilarating these days but what-ever blows your hair back I guess!
