Our good mate Dixon at Qantas has averted his gaze yet again from managing the company and looks like incurring his third hit for cartel behaviour, which is regarded by Graeme Samuel head boy at ACCC as the most heinous of economic crimes due to its anticompetitive nature.
Three strikes and you're out! USA Europe and now Australia. Dixon has no excuses, if he claims not be be aware of the collusion the excuse is tantamount to not knowing what is going on inside his own company, if otherwise he is a party to it and therefore must have endorsed it, either way a damning indictement of his management.
Maybe Dicko should concentrate more on the things that upper management are responsible for instead of taking the easy path of cost reductions and staff remuneration reviews. I'm sure all the workers on the shop floor are really motivated now that they see management has just pissed another 60 million or so up against the wall because of cartel behaviour, when they are struggling to pay off the mortgage and educate the kids. Well done Geoff, fall on you're sword will you and do us all a favour.

Apart from an article in the business section of The Age, I haven't heard/seen much more... A bit different to the Visy cartel stuff.

Yes because dick pratt faced court and was personally held responsible for the illegal actions.

dixon will just skulk in the shadows and declare that he and his senior management team knew nothing about it :yuk::yuk::yuk:

Geoff turned in a 600million dollar half year profit. He must be really be hurting at the prospect of retirement soon and his Irish mate to take over the helm. He just might be doing something right.

karma boy Karma. GD will get his, mark my words it's only a matter of time before this heartless so called man will face judgement. Judgement comes in many forms & although I'm not a God fearin' man HE (GD) ought to be !
The last time I saw him on TV he looked ready, ready to recieve his punishment for the tyranny he has lead during his reign at the helm of the now not so respected world airline. I hope he's got plenty of money for in his dieing years he's gunna need it to comfort him 'cause any decent human being with the knowledge of his ugly past will be hovering over his rocking chair like vultures!
The ACCC have little power to act/highlight the low types of acts GD & his cronies have perpetrated because the Aust Gov doesn't want to see it's icon become like other shifty operators so they keep the lid on it to some degree for fear of looking bad in the eyes of the public, the same public who own the airline.

Surely you are somewhat confused, you are talking about Robert Mugabe, not Dixon. A bit theatrical, old chap.

Pass a Frozo:

Ahh.. that would be "Industrial action". Harm the general public because of a dispute between two parties. Kind of like crapping on your neighbours lawn because you aren't happy with the local council.

Nice try troll and still wrong.

You should have said "Kind of like crapping on your neighbours lawn because both of you aren't happy".

It takes two parties to create a dispute, and my direct and personal observation is that management eventually get the union response they deserve, but of course you wouldn't know that.

The historic thuggery and corruption of the painters and dockers in Melbourne was a direct result of the thuggery and corruption of the waterfront and the stevedore companies of the day.

Now go away.
