From "new York Times":

"An Air Force plane crashed in a remote region of Afghanistan, American officials said Wednesday. All eight crew members survived.

Some crew members were injured in the Tuesday evening crash but none of the injuries were considered life threatening, said Maj. Brad Lowell, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force in Tampa, Fla.

Lowell said the injured were taken to a medical facility in the region around Afghanistan, although he declined to specify where.

The MC-130P plane is used for refueling, leaflet and bundle drops, and transporting U.S. special forces.

The cause of the crash is unknown, although it does not appear to be the result of hostile fire, said a statement from the U.S. Central Command overseeing the Afghan war effort.

The names of the crew are being withheld pending notification of relatives, the release said."
