FBI Serves Warrants Over Golfer's Jet Crash

The FBI executed search warrants at Sunjet Aviation Inc. on Tuesday as part of its investigation
into the Learjet crash in October in which Payne Stewart and five others were killed.
"This was in connection with an ongoing investigation into possible violations of federal laws
pertaining to maintenance and record keeping," said agent Brian Kensel.
Kensel said authorities confiscated a number of Sunjet records, though he could not say how
many.
On Oct. 25, 1999, Stewart's plane crashed into a South Dakota pasture four hours after it left
Orlando on a flight to Texas, flying 1,400 miles apparently on autopilot before it ran out of fuel.
Government officials suspect the jet lost cabin pressure soon after taking off, causing all six on
board to die or lose consciousness from lack of oxygen.
