I am not current but have about 6500 hours and 1500 on B-727 and 2500 on C-130 as a professional flight engineer (all civilian). Know anyone hiring? Would have to be an initial class. Have FAA ATP-MEL, F/E-Turbojet and Turboprop, A&P, Dispatcher, & Ground Instructor - Advanced & Instrument and 1st Class Medical. Older guy who wants to get back into aviation. Any tips?

Hi Dickbash: Airborne Express might still have PFEs on their DC-8s, believe their only base is Wilmington, Ohio. Maybe on Buffalo Airways 707s, if still breathing (you like lots of MELs?). Former C-130 eng. I knew from AFRES mentioned some 1011 ops. Also, Am Trans Air on 727 and 1011s. Pilots start as FO (corp offices in IND?, they seem pretty stable). My partner here in Initial, '98, said they are a good operation, if your body can take the long 1011 trips (around the world, lots of military customers). How about Reeve Aleutian Airways in Anchorage on Electra? Believe I saw civilian C-130s up there within last 4 years too. Former FAPA, now Air Inc or ... could have good info. They were at 800-AIR-APPS. Lots of changes with them too. Good luck.
