Patience, patience. You'll find out soon enough. You still have the induction, groundschool, exams, SEP, sim, LST and line training to get through; take it one step at a time. :ok:

The route structure is very interesting
EDI-BHX
BHX-EDI
EDI-BHX
BHX-EDI
EDI-BHX
BHX-EDI
EDI-BHX
BXH-EDI
Then when you're sick of that you'll do EDI-BHX :)
or maybe a,
EDI-SOU
SOU-EDI
EDI-BHX
BHX-EDI
:}
Sorry could not resist.

Flybe serve 11 destinations from EDI so not quite sure what the posts are getting at.
Perhaps an answer to the original poster's question would be a more constructive way forward than clever comments based on nonsense

Why is it nonsense? the DH-8 doesnt go to all 11 destinations.

Goes to BHX though!
And when you're not going there your roster will be
SBY
SBY
SBY
(Standby - to go to BHX) :)

Hello there!
I'm joining FlyBe from the air taxi world, and can't wait to see what a roster is all about?
Could anybody please shed some light on what BHX's typical roster is like?
cheers.
...to EDI

The BHX routes are pretty good, you do lots of UK routes, Newquay, Channel Islands, lots to Germany, Switzerland & France such as Brest, Paris etc.
And to all those slating me for saying EDI to BHX is about all you do here was a typical week there.
Day 1
EDI - BHX
BHX - EDI
EDI - JER - Cancelled
Day 2
EDI - BHX
BHX - EDI
EDI - BHX
BHX - EDI
Day 3
EDI - SOU
SOU - EDI
EDI - BHX
BHX - EDI
Day 4
EDI - BHX
BHX - EDI
So, with that said make your own minds up

slightly off topic but can anyone from flybe settle an argument for me concerning crew bases. I have been told that there is now a flight crew base at NCL - is this true?

NCL - not at the moment, although a base has been announced and is in the process of being established.

Thank you baskerville - do you know if the proposed base is fully crewed?
Please pm me if you wish as I know this is supposed to be about EDI rosters!
The current info I have is that NCL will be a crew base as of Nov '08. Up to then it will be remotely rostered with night stops.
There was a supplimentary bid for NCL ABZ and INV released early Feb with a expiry of 29th Feb for crew basing, so watch this space for the results of that!

Could someone tell me what aircraft type are based at Manchester for Flybe e.g. Dash or Embraer or both.
Thanks,
D.
Both Dash's and E195's (2 for the summer), E145 being phased out slowly.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Are the E145s being phased out of the company or just being moved to another base?
Thanks again,
D.

Snigs
Heard the NCL base will be alot sooner than that, time will tell.
Dan
By April 09 flybe will only operate 2 types, DH8D & EMB195, the 145s are going.
Deano,
The route(s) will be covered by night stopping a/c and crew from the start of the summer schedule in NCL, the last I heard (not at all definitive though!! :) ) is that the permanent base will open Nov.

That's what I heard mate, but I've probably got it wrapped around my arse, I've most likely interpreted "opening in July" as "fully manned by July", which probably isn't the case (it's been a long week :ugh:)
