Dear all,

Just wondered if anyone could inform me of the average take home pay for a year 0 first officer @ flybe?

I have been given the payscale and am starting with them in March and cant wait!, just wanted to try and get a genuine figure in my head so I can look at finances.

Any constructive replies would be apprecitated.

Thanks

Mikecr,

I believe the poster was trying to figure out an approximate net take home pay, after tax, with any extras added in.

So he did, my apologies. I believe £1600 to £1700 a month is there or there abouts. Thats a figure from my mate who's on the dash at GLW.

Bet he doesn't fly for flybe then, unless they've radically expanded in the last few days...

[quote=IATA Airport decoder]1 result(s) for encoding "GLW" :
GLW Glasgow, Municipal Airport, Kentucky, USA.

I'm sorry, couldn't resist. I'll go now.

maxalpha, 10 years ago I was a yr0 FO, same airline, on the F27, take home then was about £1690, have just checked my payslips. Basic then was £17856.

OK

So starting in March then, take the year 0 scale for FY08/09 and divide by 12.

During the TR I think you can work on an average of £300/month duty pay which is all taxable (during your TR you are paid for I think 12hrs duty pay a day). After the TR I think you are more likely to average £250/month but depends on the base, season, leave, disrupton payments, night stops, etc etc.

I believe you can once trained bid for extra nightstops = more cash.

At a guess this will amount to approx £2400 remove NIC at approx £240 and Tax approx £450 then pension if you opt in at £60 and student loans if any.
= your final salary per month year 0.

Maths was never my strong point so don't ask for a figure. These are approx figures OK so please don't come at me should things be different.

Any help with further Flybe questions anyone just PM. You will love it.

the GLW is the VOR on site at glasgow. Most people locally refer to the airport as that
