Hi all have been invited for a DEFO interview with Cathay and would apppreciate any info as to which fleet I could expect. Seem to have the idea that it is for a basing out of HK on the freighter fleet but also hear that DEFO are taken on the 777's and A340's. Anyone care to shed some light?

Beechbum,
You'll be hired under the new UFO (unified first officer) scale, and as such, they can put you on any fleet.
As far as I'm aware, you definitely won't end up on the freighter based in HKG.
You may be offered 744 in Europe or North America or Oz, 747 Classic in Europe, 777 in North America or Europe, or possibly Airbus in Europe if you already have Airbus time.
These req's change all the time, I'm sure someone will correct me.
