Hi all
I'm a regular on here and I have a slightly different question from the normal interview stuff and job finding posts!
My girlfriend makes tv programmes and she is doing a programme at the moment called the 1 show which is on BBC1 prime time. She is researching into trying to find the "oldest" people in Britain who are involved in a variety of different activities. Through my advice she is looking to get in touch with the oldest licenced and actively flying pilot in the UK. I just saw a long list of flying schools that her and her colleagues have been calling to try and find their goal. If anyone here knows of a real old timer from their flying club etc that wants to be on tv and show off their flying prowess then please let me know....! I guess that this could go into a different section of PPrune but I thought this would be a good enough place to start. If moderators think that this would be best placed elsewher then please feel free to move it!!:ok:
Cheers;)

Im sure one of our gliding club members is 142 years old!! He's deaf, blind, cant even string a sentence together but still fly's! In fact, he's the only person ever on earth to ever spin a K21 glider, even though its aerodynamically impossible! It wasnt intentional of course:}:} Good old Ken, a nicer man you'd never meet

The CFI at Bourne Flying Club (the Chief Flying Instructor), in Cambridgeshire, is well into his 80's.

My AME (Aviation Medical Examiner) is in the older age bracket (the one based in Cambridgeshire) and still flies his Cessna over to France each summer.

Bob Cook is a flying instructor at the BA flying club at Booker, High Wycombe. He is also in the older age bracket!

I think his name is John Houlder. He's in his 90's and still flies all over the world, as far as Pakistan and South Africa!!!
