Bizjet Dispatch

Hi all,

For our company we are looking for options to implement a software tool that is covering most departments like dispatch, sales, training, maintenance, etc. We have been looking at various options and I got some advice to have a look at Bizflight. Haven’t been in touch yet with this company, as before we like to get some feedback from the real users in other companies. We have put together some requirements and I would very much appreciate if some of you could let me know if Bizflight meets these requirements?

General

Is it locally installed or is there also an option to use it via the Internet and log on from outside the office?
Is it compatible with any other software that is used in the aviation business like flight planning software (Jeppesen, PPS, etc), maintenance (CAMP), etc?

Sales

Option to easily store flight requests, options, booked charters within the program before a flight is confirmed and ready to be launched by the dispatch.
Is it possible to create different formats when sending a quotation to our customers?
Is it possible to have quotations produced by Bizflight without using your calculator…
Is Bizflight able to calculate flight times that are close to the real flight times, e.g. is there any correction for winds, etc?

Dispatch

Is it possible to print general declaration, passenger manifest and the 178-form for US Customs?
When preparing a flight and requesting handling, slots, hotac, permissions, etc, is it possible to have a CLEAR overview of what has been done, what needs to be done and what is still missing? With other words, can I quickly see the ‘status’ of the future flights or do I have to open many flights to make a check?
Is there an option to create a database with the different requirements for overflight/landing permissions?
Is the airport data reliable and any idea what the source is? Jeppesen, Acukwik, Avitat, ?
Is it possible to use it at more than one computer screen?
Any option to have an overview of all flights/aircraft with different selection criteria like per day, week, month, etc?

Training/Crewing

Is it JAR-OPS compatible with all the regulations regarding training?
The same for the duty times regulations, does it keep track of the requirements for crewrest?
With a lot of crewmembers involved, is there some kind of alert system that CLEARLY shows which ratings/licenses are close to expiring or expired?
I heard there is an option to create passport and visa for crewmembers with alert dates? But is it also possible having an alert when a crewmember is scheduled for a flight to a country for which his visa is expired?
Regarding scheduling of crew, is there a tool included with many different inputs like on duty, training, sick, holiday, medical, etc? And when a flight is scheduled will it give an alert when crew is assigned which is not available due to training, holiday or any other reason?

Maintenance

Is it set up according to ATA?
Is Bizflight able to replace a program like CAMP?

Any other info, tips, etc are welcome as well:)

Many thanks in advance!

Try Avisource by Camp Systems.

You can find the info on the web, try www.campsys.com

That programme works fairly well with most of your requirments.

Cheers!

I have heard of lots of companies that are very happy with Bizflight. Check out CTA-FOS from the US for a complete system. http://www.cta-fos.com/

Good luck,

AN225 & Aslak,

Thanks for your feedback so far, much appreciated.

CAMP might be a good option as well as the maintenance department is already working with their mx module, will have a closer look at it.

CTA-FOS has been reviewed already, but for some reasons not shortlisted.

I would love to get some feedback from users of Bizflight, especially on the questions I've listed. If there are quite some companies happy with Bizflight, I assume some of them are also on this forum?

Many thanks in advance,

Bizjet Dispatch

Hi there,

You might also try FltOps330.

Contact is Stanley Finch www.goeag.com (http://www.goeag.com)

See for yourself, though it seems good value to us. We are European based and the software is FAA Ops/Maintenance based with Commercial functions.

Best of luck

Why not post it here ?

Or if you think this isn't for everybody please include me in the mail.

And does somebody have some prices
Nearly all software companies listed show nothing in terms of costs.
I saw something like 10000€ for Biz flight in a report?

Now before somebody suggests contacting the companies for services and prices, etc; My bad experience with email requests to the info@ or sales@ addresses of companies leads me to the forum in the first place.

And what is strange when I see somebody using it bizflight since 2 years; the website is under construction and shows only 3 out of 10 samples
Was probably never updated, and this is a software company ???
Before I had the impression that the company is new on the market.

@1xxxxx1:
The thing about Travico is that it's a very small company and they focus on direct support and product improvement rather than a great homepage - they don't want to run the big promotion number but rely on mouth to mouth recommendation. - It depends on what you think is a new company on the market - Bizflight is developed since 2003 and the company exists since 1995 (according homepage) / btw. this was also my first post and I'm registered since 3 years... ;)
I didn't write the answers into this thread since when time goes by, the answers will still be here be due to the rapid development of Bizflight wouldn't be correct then anymore - no need to confuse somebody who might do a search later on.
I will send you the answers as well via PM.
Regarding the prices I would have to check as well - to my knowledge there are about 3 different categories depending on the modules and the number of licenses you want.

I have recently been looking for a system as well, I came across one called BART, from seagil aviation. I have not had a chance to look at it proper yet, but briefly it looks good and promising, it is an American product so might not be best suited for the European market - although they claim they have clients worldwide. Might be worth checking out.....
