HKE (and most likely HKA) normally hires guys with turboprop experience around 2.500+ hrs TT or previous jet experience. Not sure if those are the "best" companies to apply with at this time.

seems to be what I've found also. I'm in the same boat. 3000+ t-prop with 1000 in the left seat, and the best I can do in Asia is fly for HKE/HKA or fly props for A-net in Japan. As bad as it sounds, I may have to take a crap jet job just to get the "time" on the resume. Who knows........

Yeah i also heard about HKE taking guys with that time.. i heard also about Air macau but you need to have some contact inside the company to help you out.. so it seems that a guy with 1000 hours is completely stuck...so i was wondering...what's the way to get a job flying jet ?

Get some jet time or good turboprop time, HKA just sacked 14 guys because they were "only" turboprop guys...:ugh:
