Conversion of JAA Type rating to FAA

Hi all

I need some help from you, Has anyone converted a JAA Type rating on a FAA flight license? I hold both JAA and FAA flight license but I only have the type rating of the aircraft I´m flying on my JAA license. I´ve been doing some searching on internet and FAA but couldn´t find anything clear.

All you need is a 135 recurrent with an LPC at the end. Talk to FlightSafety.

From what I understood (did not do it myself yet) is that you need a checkride with a FAA examiner to get your type on the FAA licence
