Looks like a bell 407 to me but well avoided in the end.

You may be right. I can't tell if it has 2 or 4 blades.

The fins on the tail boom give it away.
Plus it does look like 4 blades to me, if there are only 2 they are whizzing around pretty damn quickly. :)

Yeah, the dish on top was a definite give away.

Well avoided, not so good at looking out though, unless the camera isn't showing something.

Thanks for posting it Rotornut. I'm surplrised that the downwash didn't even budge the Cessna.

Nice job avoiding a pretty horrible incident there....Anybody know the background? Where and when, and if that was a controlled or uncontrolled field? I'd be interested to hear the clearance given.

Regardless of who was at fault in this one, I think it's safe to say that both aircraft were definitely taxiing faster than a "brisk walk." Remembering the basics of flight school helps prevent stuff like this.

Just my $0.02...

Yeah, that Channel 7 B206 stack is a cracker, especially the audio, listen carefully...

I was in the back seat of a 206 that went down just like the Ch. 7 machine.
The crash landing was almost identical to the one in the video. No one was hurt but instead of bending, the right rear skid strut went into the bathtub which absorbed a lot of the shock.

Every day we hear about more and more flying machines in the sky.

Why oh why is there not common sense that dictates that ALL those who can, I.E. rotary wing, fly / operate someplace else other than in conflict with plank traffic lanes.

Just plumb crazy not too, deserved what he got I say, esp positioniong himself in the C172 blind spot, what a dumbo.
