Seen in Wednesday's Easter Daily Press - The new owner of the former RAF West Raynham has plans to turn the hangars into des res loft apartments with the space to park your aircraft below. The tower is to be restored as a museum commemorating the bases history. Don't know what the planners view will be of living above a fuelled aircraft but its nice to see that the base may resume flying ops again, assuming there are not too many local nimbys.

Flew over the place a few weeks ago, and it looks pretty much trashed as far as the runways are concerned, however was interested too note the existance of another airfield just west of Raynham and East of Great Massingham that looked from my vantage point to be substantially intact though obviosuly long closed, anyone an idea of it,s history.
