And there I was thinking this was going to be a link to a video of female matelots doing aerobics!! Very let down:uhoh:!

On second thoughts, perhaps a lucky escape?

I wouldn't want to 'jump' off the end of that without a catapult :uhoh:

God, where do they drag people up for their voiceovers? I was expecting him to break into '.. calling at Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, Newport..' any moment.

It seems they didn't do a lot did they? Umm, just sailed a long way, saw more long range aircraft and then sailed back again.

Nice targets. One Spearfish each would be enough.

like a 'twilight zone' nimitz exercise. judging by the lack of smiles on the bridge, they just found out their wages have been spent on avtur:{

Interesting (and a bit boring) to see the jets taking off without the gung-ho of catapults or vectored thrust. How fast are those jets going off the end of that ramp?

Yeah what a load of sh!7. I hope everyone saw how light the aircraft where:):):)

Basically hot lada engineering although impressive for such as backward country even through they fought us for nearly 50 years in the cold war.

Good luck to Putin and Co the only thing they have to hydro carbons but we have 350 years of coal under our feet.:):):):):):):):)

They do have a 390ft take off run to the ramp, shorter than a Harrier, although I suspect a GR9 could carry more tin.

Are you seriously suggesting that a harrier could carry more ordinance than an aircraft the size of the Sukhoi.
I would not be surprised if the Sukhoi could carry a harrier!

.....one under each wing, maybe, with the centre line available for something heavy!

Interesting that an official Russian Government Russian Navy Press Service English Language report identifies the various aircraft taking part with their Nato names: Blackjack, Bear, Backfire and Midas as well as their alpha numeric Russian names: Tu 160 TU95 Tu 223 Il78

Watch when the first officer ''type'' enters the bridge and sits on my grandmothers old chair which i took to the skip for her in mid 90's :8

very old-fashioned bridge - I guess no upgrade since the mid-80's... and those jets do not seem to have an awful lot of airspeed going over the jump do they?
