I have just booked some flights to Oz with Etihad, down the back of course. I am crew but haven't travelled on a 777 for years and the A340 is new to me. I have chosen row 25C on the 777 and 23C on the A340. I don't want to be bumping around right at the back but I don't want to get all the engine noise either. Help!

The site that crops up most frequently in this matter is located by searching for one who, when it comes to finding a Seat is a Guru ...

I have been on Seat Guru but Etihad desn't feature on there. I looked at the Emirates configurations for the 777/A340 and decided from them. Hopefully they are similar!!

25/23 are definitely not near the back of a 777 or 346.

Also, the website mentions powerpoints for laptops down the back

PC power outlets, USB ports and RJ 45 sockets in all seats allow you to connect your laptop and catch up with work as you fly.

Do I need a special adaptor to use the port?

The power points take a standard two pin European or American fitting so no special adaptor required.

If no one replies I can let you know in 12 days!!! Sounds like a perk for one of the other cabins...

It happened to me. Nice big cans, I thought, and looked much posher than one usually finds in econ. Plug in, plug out, plug in, plug out . . . hey, noise cancelling! Also distinguished by a massive seat back TV. Etihad is a good economy product.
