Hi there, do any of you folks know any guys out there who teaches the above anywhere or are willing to do it freelance?

What would be a realistic period to give oneself time to go for classes and to prepare for taking the exams, assuming one starts from scratch?

Feel free to PM or drop a reply..

Thanks and cheers! :)

I don't think you can go past Nathan Higgins @ Maroochydore (www.aft.com.au (http://www.aft.com.au)). I've literally just started my ATPL's also, and so far passed two exams using his self study notes. I'm working on ANAV at the moment and have given myself another 6 months to bowl them all over.

I plan to self study 5, and do the Aerody and Systems + Flight Planning at one of his courses scattered throughout the year.

yes do try Nathan @ AFT as listed elsewhere here. Top outfit, know their stuff. Just that once you have completed the ATPL most you will rarely use again! Most of it is based on generic equip/situations. All airline flying is based on type specific, but I guess ya gotta jump thru the hoops like a circus monkey as all of us who have passed before you have done!:)

Give AFT a miss. I had 42 people in the class and learnt not much at all. If you like studying at home, get Gavin Secombe's corro courses. They're the best.

Hey "Python' that's the first negative thought I've heard about AFT. I had nearly that many in my class years ago, just goes to show how popular they are. Sure with that many in any classroom situation you'll have to stand yr yr own two feet a little more & also not expect to be 'spoon fed' too much but they got me thru. I had been out of the learning frame of mind for years. I didn't have the best schooling so everything was full on ay my tender age around 40! I remember saying to Nathan on the very first day at the morning tea break................"I think i'm in the wrong place here", as in am struggling already & it was only after a few hrs ! He laughed it off & said you'll be okay a lot feel that way from day one. Well by the second week I was going full steam ahead, lots of after hrs study tho!

Sorry for the thread drift a little but to me AFT did just fine !:)
