I have a friend who's about to move to Perth to be with her new boyfriend. She says he claims to be "flight crew" and wears a blue jump suit to work with three stripes. Anyone know what operation this could be? Surveillance Australia perhaps?

She's moving to be with a boyfriend who "claims to be"?
You mean she doesn't know what he does for a living for sure?

Some Aeromedical outfits (pun not intended) wear 'jump suits'. The traditional 'monkey suit' isn't a good outfit when working in a hot environment such as the Aussie outback. The official uniform for professional pilots I believe suits (again no pun intended) the role of the airline pilot 'cause of the authority that it stands for but isn't well suited for some other roles.
The blue jump suit in question with the three stripes could also be part of some radical prison reform !:} Nah all jokes aside the 3 stripes usually mean Capt on A/C less than 5700 kg's, that might be a hint !

I think you're right Wiz. Maybe Dawn Raid could confirm, not that he has much time for Pprune lately.

Could even be one of the Crewies on the BK.

If she was moving over to live with someone who works a Fugro, why bother never going to be home anyway.

Lasiorhinus

CHC is actually short for Canadian Helicopter Corporation, but I had to look that up. Everyone knows them as CHC.

Come on guys stop guessing! Julie there is only one way to be 100% sure. Get your friend to take a photo of him in uniform (preferably at the local pub/club) and then post it here. You should get an answer pretty quick!

Some of the Sydney RFDS pilots have "PILOT" written on their white shirts.
