Hi friends,
I'm just looking for some general info on qantas 767s that I can't seem to find anywhere. Would appreciate info from those in the know,

Do they carry second officers?
What sort of routes do they fly?
Does QF have 200 and 300 series?
Are they employed in a similar role to the A330?

Thanks in advance for any help!

No
High cap domestic plus Int'l up to Asia and across to HNL
Only 300ERs
No, the A330 is currently almost exclusively Int'l

Technically there are still 2 second officers on the 767 fleet, although they are primarily used as sim instructors!

Heavy crews required for PER-NRT, SYD-HKG, PER-HKG, SYD-HNL and are usually 1 Capt and 2 FOs, though sometimes 2 Capts, 1 FO.

Other international destinations are mostly Asian sh1tholes (think MNL and CGK) or where no other airline has a better IFE on that route (with the notable exception of HKG - and don't the passengers let the cabin crew know about it!). Also NOU & lots of Tasman ops - if you can call that international (for scheduling purposes, the Tasman is considered domestic).

Also used to fill in for Jetstar when their A330s break down or are otherwise indisposed.

The A330 (QF and Jetstar) have taken over most of the old 767 Asian network - PVG, PEK, SIN, NAG, KIX, BOM etc. The glory days of the 767 are over, though it has lingered longer than was expected internationally. It was supposed to be confined to domestic ops by about two and a half years ago. . .

The 767-238s were retired by the end of 2004

The 767-300s are a mixture of GE and RR powered aeroplanes.

Hope that helps.
