Dear all,

I plan my first domestic US - US - flt for our LOWW based GLEX for the next time. I have experiences with the field 10 codes for non US flts but not for the (different) codes for domestic flts in the states. I have to translate the ICAO code SHRYXW/S (Standard + HF, 8.33 etc.) into FAA compatible equipment code.

I have an FAA doc here but I am not sure how to interpret chapter 5 in the right way

Who can help so we donīt get trouble in the USA with getting into RVSM airspace etc.?

Yours sincerely lusthansa

Hello,

I guess you should be using /Q which equates to /R with RVSM capabilities, based on RNP compliance which your ICAO suffix suggests.

US domestic RVSM is coded as " Q ".
Otherwise R shud suffice from Non US carriers. We always use "R" operating into US n so far so good.

Just an additional note:

/Q is only one of the D-RVSM suffixes, the others being:

/J
/K
/L

It all depends on the aircraft's FMS/GNSS/RNP capabilities.
