I am a UK citizen with FAA Multi CPL/IR and 500 hours (including 100 turbojet). Any thoughts on my prospects of getting a UK-based freight position and/or best companies to contact?

I'm sorry to say that it will be difficult if not impossible to find a job in GB without a CAA or JAR license.
I came to the UK with a FAA ticket and converted it into a CAA one ,that took 5months and a lot of money.
But it problably will be the only way of getting a job overhere.
