GECAS says IAI's converted 767-200 freighters will have 19 88" x 125" pallet positions, MTOW of 159 tonnes, 42-tonne payload, and 3,200 nm range. Converted 767-300s would have capacity for 23 pallets

To buy a 767 AND pay for a freight conversion @ $7-10 m would sound expensive to haul 42 tons,
compared with many freighters that are out there sitting on the ground?? :) :)

Ah!
That seems lot of money for a B767 conversion. About $7M seems to be the going rate for a B747SF.

Don't be fooled by the sticker price !!
By the time you have upgraded avionics, carried out a heavy check, bit of engine work, accomplished a few long term AD's and cleared a few SSI/CPCP items it gets up there.

The guy at the maintenance facility (in the sheepskin jacket with the Glass's guide!!) says " Well, while we have got it so stripped down you may as well do this at the same time !!!"

The numbers seem to be about the same for the A-300 B4. Theres plenty of them around.
