Rumour control has some CX pilots leaving some time ago having bought a flying school or charter business in WA?

Does anyone have a link to their flying school at all?

A friends, friends, friend needs a renewal. :oh:

They did not buy a flying school, they bought a flying service for the mines based in Karatha.

Nice guys too

One of the CX Captains runs a good school out of Jandakot, Perth. Did a CPL on a Mooney with them a couple of years ago (don't ask, it's a long story) and he has good blokes working for him.

You would never get any EK pilots doing that, not enough cash....
Think again if you are going to trade your CX job for the sandpit.

I know they didn't leave to earn less to earn less cash. CX ain't paying that well these days, some GA jobs in OZ pay much better than COS 08, and you don't have to sit on reserve in a hotel in Hong Kong.

I know that this company makes a load of money, I'm guessing theyre going to make more than what they would at CX, have a laid back lifestyle and the joy of being ones own boss. I'd have that any day....

Max, ask around about this one. It worked well for me.

Karratha Flying Services is charter AND flying school combined. Not sure if I'd be willing to swap a big jet for a 30 year old bugsmasher with no aircon, flying around some of the hottest parts of Australia!
