Atlas and El Al hook up?

Rumor is that with the downsizing of El Al's 747 fleet, including 2 freighters, that El Al is talking with Atlas Air about wet-leasing 3 747-400's begining in the 4th Q of 01' or the 1st Q of 02. El pilots are understandably hot about this farming out of jobs. Could Polar be in the mix, as a way of pitting 2 pilot groups against each other? Only Atlas Mgt. types know for sure.
