If there are any Czechoslovak pilot's reading this I would like to make a contact with them. I'm currently living in Canada and imigrated from Czechoslovakia when I was eight years old. I was wondering how the countries are developing in the avaition world and if there are any working oportunities as a pilot. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Altough I am not czechoslovak, but work for fabulous CSA in prague(B737).

They just joined the SkyTeam alliance, and they expect to get some new aircraft, they might need pilots.

There are already a couple of foreigners working there, including me.

Life is crap, salary is crap, but flying is great, lots of different destinations, mixed charter and scheduled flying.

Only problem for you will be the license,as the czechs are member of the JAA.Painful license to get,i might add!

Thanks LeadingEdge, I'm not sure that I'm ready to make that conversion just yet. Things are moving very quicky here in North America, but I was interested to see how the Eastern European Aviation market was coming along.

Thank you for your reply.
