The word "ban" suggests government action to me. I read that BBC piece as saying that as a result of government advice the tour operators have stopped sending new passengers to Kenya. If an operator wants to send people to Kenya they remain able to do so (however that may not be a sensible action).

We complain enough here about journalists, lets not make it worse ourselves.

With respect, friends...

Why should people from UK travel freely to Kenya with the troubles there...?
If things turn for worse, then UK has to send Royal Marines and SAS to get them back to safety...
Who pays for that...?
Let's be sensible... exception made of emergencies...
Sad situation, really.

its UK tour operators following the advice of the Foreign and Commonwealth office, saying non-essential travel should be avoided to Kenya.....

remembering that tour operators are responsible for the health and safety of their customers whilst overseas, and that can be a bit difficult to manage in a country on the verge of civil war!

so easiest thing is to stop sending customers there, thus no charter flights as the people paying for them, tour operators, are no sending anyone.

means all the UK charters have a 767 (or 330) free on one or two days a week until May......

the last TOM and FCA flights were weeks ago and yes the last 2 went down empty and came home with all of the TUI package customers, staff and crew. No plans to restart flying to MBA for several months.....
