The Bell 206 JetRanger was on a routine pipeline inspection flight. According to the newspaper article one blade separated. :( :( :(

One blade separated? In the article they are talking of a piece of 2m length, I assume, the blades of a 206 are longer and the smaller T/R-Blades are still visible on the picture.

A torn off rotor blade could be the cause for the helicopter crash in Zuzenhausen. Photo: dpa/lsw Heidelberg - after the crash of a helicopter in the proximity of Zuzenhausen with Sinsheim (Rhine-Neckar-region) there are first referring to the cause. The determinations resulted in according to report of a radiosenders that the helicopter of the type Bell 206 jet Ranger had lost a rotor blade. That approximately two meters long part was found hours after the crash with a search action. The other three sheets still were at the wreck. A speaker of the Heidelberger police said, the torn off rotor blade was a reference to a technical defect. It is however still too early, in order to speak of the final cause for the misfortune. The determinations of the Federal Agency for flight accident investigations are not final yet. With the crash on Monday 46 years old flight observers from the area Karlsruhe had died. On a routine flight for the monitoring of a gas-Pipeline the helicopter of a Mannheimer company on a field in the proximity of a grill hut had fallen. The viersitzige helicopter was on behalf of the gas supply South Germany (GVS) with seat in Stuttgart on the way. After the entrance of an emergency call signal at the Monday morning the crew of a rettungshubschraubers had discovered the wreck.
