Australia only has one S

You'll need to know that before they let you in.

Just like Qantas has no U.

Apart from that.............getting to/from OZ can be a pain in the butt, business class is nearly always full so you end up on the jump seat or in Y. Not very comfortable.

Yup - agree with ACMS. Commuting a real pain these days. Although the frequency of flights has increased, many of the planes have less seats than before due to the new cabin outfits. So the actual number of seats overal hasn't gone up much; if at all on some routes.

Along with the very heavy loads on most flights on most days, it really is a matter of either jumpseat or waiting it out for the last Y seat. That's assuming no weight issues of course. Very frustrating to get offloaded due to weight issues and 20+ seats remaining. Cathay will take a 1kg package over staff any day. It's just business. Staff, unfortunately, are way down the list of priorities....

Also, be very sure of your tax issues too. There are a few of us that have assumed a little too much and will need to come back to HKG to earn a bit more to pay off the ATO.

Also check your visa entry entitlements. Make sure you have multi entry rights, and dont exceed the days in country you are entitled to. They will be all over you if they suspect you are trying to live there on a tourist visa. Immigration wont hesitate to refuse you entry if you have exceeded any entitlements, and cx wont be overly excited deporting you on a staff ticket. Would probably coincide with your last day of employment.
