Converting DVD to a divex file

I have recently purchased a media player with a 250 gig hard drive,so here is my question, how do I convert a DVD Film into a file format to drag and drop it into the media player, the idea I had was to convert my DVD collection and put them on the player for portability.

You'll need to 'rip' it first using something like dvd decrypter then convert the files to whatever format the media player likes. See http://www.videohelp.com/ for guides etc.

winavi will conver any media file to anything you want it to. You do have to pay for it but its the best
